Good News from Algonquin College (Ottawa, Ontario) Canada

Algonquin College has decided to waive off the mandatory mathematics requirement in Grade-12 for all healthcare programs. If the student has studied Maths in Grade-10, and Physics in Grade-12, with at least 50% scores in both, the student is eligible to apply for all our healthcare programs under the School of Health and Community Studies.

Also It is pleasure to announce a new program for the upcoming Fall intake (September 2014).

The USP of this program is that it is a 2 Year PG Diploma for Healthcare Professionals.
Program Eligibility:
An Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in the following:
l Medical Radiation Technology
l Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology
l NuclearImaging Technology
l Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
l Diagnostic Vascular Sonographer
l Nursing
l Paramedic
l Respiratory Therapy; OR equivalent with Departmental approval


Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of either: IELTS-International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with the minimum of 22 in each component: Reading 22; Listening: 22, Speaking: 22, Writing: 22
