Live And Work In Canada - Easy Ways To Make It Happen

It is a known fact that traveling to western countries for greener pastures is the dream of so many people. But the problem is that people go about it the wrong way. Some people have gone to the extent of paying dubious agents as much as six thousand dollars to secure Canadian visa for them whereas they should have availed themselves of the so many programs being offered by the Canadian Government to assist people from developing countries enter Canada and work legally.
One of them is by securing employment and work permit. There are so many companies in Canada that are willing to hire foreigners to work for them. You send your curriculum vitae (c.v) or resume to the company when they have job openings. You can apply online on their web site, e-mail them your resume, fax or post it directly to their office in Canada. If you are lucky to be selected the company issues you a letter of employment and with this you can go to the Canadian Embassy/high Commission to secure your visa and work permit stress free. The embassy will give you visa and allow you to travel and stay in Canada legally because the company must have conferred with human resources and skills development centre (H.R.S.D.C) Canada and they must have instructed the embassy to honor your visa application. With this there is no fear of your visa being rejected. Whether you are a professional in any field, a graduate or even a school certificate holder or that you are skilled in a certain area, for example information technology, nursing, pipeline welding, etc., or perhaps you have wonderful job experience. You might be lucky to apply for a job and be considered, and you travel to Canada stress free. There are working holiday programs etc. in Canada which are also helpful.
There is this wonderful program that enables people from developing countries immigrate to Canada with their permanent residency card (PR CARD) right from their country. Thousands of people have traveled to Canada successfully through this program and it is being offered every year. As long as you went to secondary school and know how to speak either English or French you are qualified to apply for this program. Some thriving communities in Canada like Quebec, Manitoba etc, also nominate people to come to their city to live and work but you first of all have to file an application with them and wait to be considered. Once you are considered you are 100% sure of moving to Canada legally even with your family. Not only that you can get a very good job and not depend on odd jobs because you're traveling documents (e.g work permit) are okay.
CANADA is one of the most economically viable countries to live in. Traveling or immigrating to Canada to live and work can be as simple as ABC if one is actually guided on the right steps to take.

Many of the rejection reasons are straight forward; however some reasons are not so simple. Some examples of such reasons are:

  • You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay because:
  • You have not demonstrated that you are sufficiently well established in your country of residence.
  • Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India (the country of the applicant) or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.
  • You have not satisfied me with regulation 179 that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period.
  • You have submitted documentations which lacks credibility as part of your application. This has diminished the overall credibility of your submission.

  • SPP
  • General and
  • University

Common SPP visa refusal mistakes

SPP visa guidelines are brief and precise. A clear understanding of the guideline is extremely important. Visa rejection reasons usually have a standard language. SPP rejections happen primarily due to:

1.    Poor documentation:
Canada high commission expects documents to be arranged according to guidelines. A single wrong documentation can become a reasons for visa rejectedTo your surprise, one of the most common mistake is “overdoing the paperwork”, so do your documentation properly.

2.  Over explanation of case
Another common mistake is over explaining the situation when it is not required.
3.  Wrong visa category
One of Reasons for visa refusal is selecting the wrong category for visa application at the Canadian High Commission. Canada Immigration has 3 categories in which you can apply for visa-
You are suggested to select your visa category extremely carefully and follow only one guideline at a time. Do not mingle the requirement of one category with another.
Final Tips
Use proper category for your visa and do not get trapped under the impression that only SPP visa applications are approved. If you are a genuine student, study visa is given to the student’s of every category. Common myths about SPP visa system.

What Kind of Student Accommodation is Available?

There are many types of student accommodation available for you to choose from, each having advantages and disadvantages. For first year students the popular choice will be halls of residence, this gives students time to settle into their new environment and make friends. One of the main advantages of halls of residence is that the majority will offer rent inclusive of bills which allows you to concentrate on studying and meeting new people.
Other options also include house/flat sharing which are predominantly occupied by 2nd or 3rd year students who are a bit more experienced. One of the main advantages on house or flat sharing is freedom and private space. Halls of residence can be very short on space and there can be more distractions as you are living with more people, with a house share you have more privacy and more importantly the ultimate freedom of living in your own house. This comes at a price however with more responsibility with utility bills, landlord checks, and general maintenance. In addition you will need to be more considerate and conscious about your own living habits.
If you are struggling to find people to live with or have simply left it a bit late then you can rent a room in a privately owned property, whilst this may not be the most sociable way to live at University you will be guaranteed a secure, well maintained property.
Once you have picked your preferred choice of student accommodation it is useful to consider the following points to make sure you make the best of your student property.
Signing the contract
It seems very simple but making sure you read the contract thoroughly and raise any concerns with the landlord or letting agency is essential. If you are unsure of anything then query it, gain a second opinion if necessary or seek advice, the last thing you want is to face unexpected fines or fees just because you did not read the contract properly. Take the time to read the contract properly and avoid any nasty surprises.
Furniture
This is less important for students living in halls of residence and more important for house share or renting a room privately. It is easier for you to have a property to be already furnished as furnishings such as beds, sofas, cupboards, tables and chairs tend to be expensive. In addition when you tenancy agreement is up you will need to take these furnishings with you which is an additional expense, if you leave them behind then your landlord will charge you for the removal also. Try and move into a furnished property as all you will need to do move your possessions and appliances in.
Inventory
When you move in your landlord will provide you with an inventory list, this will list all the items and appliances in the property prior to you moving in. Similar to the contract check this thoroughly and make a note and take pictures of any existing damage or missing items. This will protect you from losing your damage deposit when you decide to move out.
Location
As with all accommodation location is very important. It is a good idea to situate yourself with good access to public transport and amenities. This will not only save you money but also will be useful if you have to familiarise yourself with the area and socialise.

Apply in Winnipeg Technical College

HISTORY

In 1983 the St. Vital, Assiniboine South, and Fort Garry School Divisions, recognizing a need for technical training and the lack of a suitable facility to provide this training in south Winnipeg, entered into an agreement to create a learning environment that would serve the community for years to come. The South Winnipeg Technical Vocational Centre, later the South Winnipeg Technical Centre (SWTC), was conceived by educators and politicians of the day to meet the anticipated need for specific, practical job training in the Fort Garry, St. Vital, and Assiniboine South communities. This divisional collaboration was a Canadian first and included other unique features. In February 2010, Winnipeg Technical College and the University of Winnipeg signed a memorandum of understanding that will provide students attending WTC with a direct pathway and direct access to joint WTC/ Winnipeg certificates, diplomas, and applied degrees.
