What is difference between Visitor Visa and Super Visa for Canada?

Visitor Visa Canada

As of now, most visitors to Canada may visit for up to 6 month when they first enter to Canada. Visitor who wishes to remain longer should apply for an extension, and pay additional expense if any. There are so many motives for visiting a country one of them being tourism. People also travel to meet their family and relatives, to explore the world around, for corporate or business meetings or for holidays. They are different type of Canada visitor visa application including tourist visit, business visit, family & friends and parents & grandparent visit visa. With the parent and grandparent super visa, qualified guardians and grandparents can visit family in Canada for up to two years without the need to reestablish their status.

The Super Visa is a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries to a period up to 10 years. The key distinction is that the Super Visa enables a person to stay for up to two years on every entry into Canada, while a 10-year multiple entry visas would just have a status period for every entry of 6 month only.

There are also specific requirements that you must meet to be able to get a super visa. In case a permanent resident or Canadian citizen would like to call their parents or grandparents on immediate basis a temporary long term visit permit known as the Super Visa can be availed which allows them to visit and stay with their children/grandchildren for up to 2 years in the country. The validity of this Visa is for 10 years. Up to 24 months the status/visa is not required to be renewed. The children or grandchildren can also apply for immigration for their parents/grandparents within 2 years of their stay in this country. The Super Visa applicants must also be found admissible to Canada and meet some other conditions.

Visa officers consider a few factors previously choosing whether a candidate is permissible. Officers must trust the candidate is a genuine visitor to Canada who will leave by decision toward the end of the visit.

The parent or grandparent must also do the following:

  •         Give a letter promising financial support from their child or grandchild in Canada who has a minimum income
  •         Demonstrate he or she has Canadian medical insurance for at least one year to cover the time he or she will be in Canada

The Super Visa Canada application can be considered in two sections, there are necessities on both the Canadian and permanent occupant who is inviting and the applicant themselves. Both must meet certain prerequisites to be considered by the immigration officer.
